Research Scientist-Over 20 years
Certified Health & Wellness/Life Coach
I have always had a passion for science, nature and learning why and how the world functions. My curiosity led me to become a Research Scientist at an early age. While working in research laboratories and obtaining my bachelor's degree at night, I gained valuable experience and knowledge in several scientific areas. My experience as a researcher in the areas of infectious diseases, cancer medicine, biochemistry and cell biology provided me with valuable insight while working over 20 years in the field. As a research scientist, I believed that something was missing in our healthcare system. Traditional medicine focuses on the symptoms rather than the root causes of diseases. This became very evident while caring for my mother who had severe complications associated with Type 2 Diabetes. This experience along with my own struggles with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) led me on the path to study preventive & holistic medicine; I since obtained my certification as a Holistic Nutritionist and my Master’s in Complementary Alternative Medicine. My passion and mission are to help individuals live healthier lives through integrative and holistic medicine.
Lifecompass Health & Wellness Mission
Lifecmpass is an internet-based company specializing in health and wellness services for both individuals and professionals.
Complimentary Alternative Medicine is a primary focus of LIFECOMPASS. My aim is to provide my clients with a broader understanding of health and wellness and a more lasting sense of well-being. Instead of the traditional disease-centered focus of conventional medicine, I provide my clients with an approach that addresses the whole person rather than simply his or her symptoms. I combine the discipline of modern science with the wisdom of ancient healing. I strive to practice the "Principals of Natural Healing".
"Principles of Natural Healing"
First Do No Harm
Support the healing systems inherent in the body and mind by using methods and techniques that are in harmony with natural processes.
The Healing Power of Nature
Preference for noninvasive treatments, which minimize the risks of harmful side effects. Trust in the body's inherent wisdom to heal itself.
Identify the Causes
Every illness has an underlying cause, often in aspects of the lifestyle, diet or habits of the individual. Help find and remove the underlying cause of a disease.
Treat the Whole Person
View the body as an integrated whole in all its physical and spiritual dimensions.
Be a Teacher
Educate clients in achieving and maintaining health.
Focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.
